Comp Report:

The final comp of the 2009 / 2010 NBRCC Winter Series was held May 16th at McInnis Park in San Rafael..  This is a unique crawler spot that does not have a huge selection of rocks, but great traction and is forever crumbling away to a flat pile of shale ..  But, it played host to 2 stops in the series and both events had fun, challenging courses that worked out well ...

The final comp of the series was dedicated only to those who were entered into the series (members only comp), out of the 35 series people, 20 showed up to enjoy a day on the rocks.  3 courses were set up, ranging from easy to moderately challenging ....  But, with plenty of fun included.  Bridges were used to link rocks, increasing the useable area.  Base plates were set up to keep the courses consistent for all ...  The NBRCC Crew put together a good, solid comp.

To increase the good times, the final comp of the series also included a free drivers raffle with goodies for everyone.  And, Tim Terry busted out a BBQ feast for everyone as well ...  Food too good for words!  Everyone went home stuffed and happy!

While there never seems to be enough thank you’s given out to those who work hard to bring these events together, I won't attempt too much here, as I would hate to miss some people.  But everyone who lends a hand knows who they are and I hope knows how much I truly appreciate their efforts.

Series Wrap up:

The 2009 / 2010 Winter Series, hosted by the North Bay RC Crawlers (NBRCC) Club has wrapped up and is in the record books.  This 8 event, eight month, long Series tested some of the best crawlers in Northern California in order to establish the best of the NBRCC Club.  The Top 5 drivers get an invite to the Nor-Cal Finals Comp, in which 4 or 5 clubs participate.  Out of the 20 or so drivers, the Top 2 will receive invites to the Crawler Nationals.

The NBRCC Club will be sending Bryan Crofts, Dan Bonvicin, Justin Halbohm, Kevin Gunderson and Greg Petersen to the Finals Comp.  Congrats guys and best of luck at the Finals!

JPH is proud to have been a big, if unofficial, part in helping to host the great events that the NBRCC Club is known for.  Assisting Peter Kalogiannis and volunteering to help organize, judge, score keep, track scores, advertise, etc ..., Overall I (Jake) really had a great time with the events and those who participated.
